Traditional Joyceans get all dressed up depicting their favorite characters from the book, engage in live reenactments and readings of Ulysses throughout the day, and embark on visiting several locations referenced in the novel, most importantly Martello Tower down the road from us here in Sandycove, which houses the James Joyce Tower & Museum.

Wild Garlic season is now upon us, stretching from early March until the end of May. This gives us plenty of time to get out into the wild and find ourselves some pungent garlic to add a little kick to some lovely homemade pesto.

Never have our gardens come fully into their own as during the last 18 months. Of course it's always the people that make the party but having a few tricks up your sleeve will ensure that your al fresco party comes into it's own. In two words - get crafty!

Asparagus season has arrived and we are absolutely thrilled! It's an all-time favourite vegetable that can be enjoyed in so many ways.  It adds a bit of 'umph' to any dish, whether it's served with eggs at brunch, steamed, or roasted to be enjoyed with dinner. The best part about asparagus (apart from the taste), is that it is so simple to prepare. Look for tight buds and a firm stalk.
